You’re invited to play one of twenty teenagers in the final rehearsals for your school’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Mr O’Strate, the drama teacher, believes in absolute commitment to character. Now you and your classmates will discover: does art imitate life? Does the course of true love ever run smooth?
In Quick Bright Things, an audience of twenty roleplays as a high school drama class. They’re supposed to be rehearsing A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but the events of the play start to seep into their personal lives. Each player is given a character, backstory and motivation, from which the tangled web of teenage emotion slowly unfurls.
